Beatrix
Ahhh, put the kettle on and enjoy a restorative cuppa at this lovely handcrafted table. The elegant legs are made from solid wood, and the surfaces from beautiful hand-sanded London Plane heartwood, which comes from trees cut for HS2. The line will take you from London to the Lake District almost as fast as Peter Rabbit runs from Mr. McGregor. That’s why it’s named for Beatrix Potter, who helped preserve the landscapes of the Lake District National Park.
Beatrix Potter
Beatrix wrote 30 books, including beloved children’s classics such as The Tales of Peter Rabbit, illustrated with her own drawings. She and her brother Bertram spent their childhood in the countryside, closely observing and drawing plants and animals, including pet mice, rabbits and even a hedgehog (the future Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle?).
